I live in IRAQ... or so it feels like

For those of you who have never lived in Vancouver here is a reason why NOT to move here...

All week we kept hearing what sounded like gun shots... and we for sure thought it was - b/c this is Vancouver you know... many shootings...
As the week progressed it was happening more and more - and so I thought - can't be THAT many shootings happening...

It was happening so often I was starting to feel like I was in Iraq. Driving down the street the shot gun sound would go off and I felt like I was in a drive by shooting...

BUTTTTTTTTT I guess Vancouver has a thing about Halloween and fireworks.
It's even WAY bigger than Canada Day. The entire city (2.5 million people minus me and Jan) buys fire crackers and fire works and just sets them off all night for the week of Halloween.

I'm so used to it now I don't flinch anymore... I think I could live in Iraq after this!!
(Just joking I take that back... I don't want to live in Iraq)

Some of you might be thinking I've been M.I.A.

well......... I'm still alive!

So then the question being - what has been occupying my every spare second of time that I haven't been able to do blog entries?!?!?!?

ALIAS

Thanks to my roommate Jan, who got Scott (her boyfriend) and I started on season one disk one of Alias 3 weeks ago... We are now so addicted to it we watch one show after another late in the the wee hours of the morning. We are now on Season 3 dics 2. There are only 5 seasons so we should be done by the end of November.

Alias has become so part of my life that I dream about being a spy and fighting off bad KGB guys... In my dream I'm Sydney Bristow and I'm amazing... Thus the enjoyment of sleeping :)

So - if you find a lack of entries on my blog - know that I am alive and well - and probably just consumed by Alias... for at least another 5 weeks. (until the next season of OC comes out!!)

What I love about EDMONTON

I made a trip back to Edmonton this past week. It's officially six month that I've been gone. Going back for a visit gave me appreciation for both Edmonton and Vancouver.

I Love Edmonton's open skys, wide roads, lack of traffic, low gas prices.

I Love Vancouver's green grass, mountains, ocean, warm weather.

On this trip back I had a chance to meet little Matthew. He get's his good looks from his amazing auntie!
