7 Months to Christmas

So tonite I was home alone (yes on a Friday nite) hanging out with me. I decided to check what was on T.V. Since we don't have cable... there was first much playing around with the rabbit ears... eventually I was able to get a movie channel. Although everyone looked like they had a twin and it was a little fuzzy, it was enough to follow the movie.

With the lack of choice of channels I was forced to watch the only movie on tonite - which happened to be, "Home Alone 2 - Lost in New York".
Perhaps many have never even seen this show a first time... this was sadly to say my 4th time.

BUT - it brought a sense of nostalgia and a desire for Christmas. I was starting to sing along to the Christmas carols and feeling like I should be pulling out the tree.
The part that didn't feel right was the fact that we still haven't finished putting away the decorations from last year.

During one of the commercials I took a glance at the calendar and realized that it is in fact 7 MONTHS to Christmas -- actually to Boxing Day.
Can you believe that the year is almost half over? I still haven't put a dent in the Christmas pounds I put on and basically it's almost Christmas again.

We should start seeing Christmas commercials in the next month or so... the pre-boxing day sale!

Well, we might as well start shopping now and ensure that we really are ready for Christmas on time this year... even early perhaps!
