Car Insurance

I think I'm going to write a book about "how to move to BC - 101."

Making THE CAR CHANGES:

You start with looking at the ICBC website (aka the car insurance peoples) and it says first you need to get your drivers before you can get your registration and insurance.

WELL the question is - WHERE do you go to get your new drivers lic. Looked on the internet, phone book, internet, phone book, asked Vancouver people... can't find someone who knows where the heck to go...

FINALLY - stumble across an office...
They took away my AB drivers lic... that hurt.
Now I have a yellow piece of paper - and no photo ID for 1 week -- I just realized this will be a problem this weekend in going out.

SO I walk across the street to some insurance guy and he says - oh I need some photo ID to get the registration and insurance. WHAT THE... They just took it away from me and said I wouldn't need it for the registration and insurance...

The guy had mercy on me and said he'd do it anyway.

THEN he tells me I need to get some air test done on my car. Like my car has bad breath or something. AND you have to do this every 2 years. WHAT A CASH COW! And we thought photo radar was bad.

SO - I have no insurance on my car b/c the insurance from AB is now expired.
So I have to buy temp insurance for one day so I can go get my car's breath checked so I can actually get some insurance on my car.

Wow... I need to hire an assistant to do this stuff for me!
